Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably seen all of the hype about the new (and limited edition) Unicorn Frappucino that is a "color-changing, flavor-changing, sweet and pleasantly sour spectacle". There's currently a viral video going around made by a Starbucks barista who is telling customers not to order this drink because of how much work it takes to make it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a barista, so I couldn't possibly understand the work that goes into making a drink for tons of customers each day. However, just because a specific drink takes a lot more time/energy to make doesn't mean you tell people not to order it.
I'm not saying you can't complain about your job because I'm almost always complaining about mine, but your job, as a Starbucks barista, is to complete the order of a customer, no matter how easy or hard that order may be. When it was announced that this frappuccino was coming for a few days, you knew what was coming. You knew that everyone and their cousins would want this and it was hyped up by so many people.
I'm not saying being a Starbucks barista is easy because it probably isn't. I say probably because, like I mentioned earlier, I'm not a barista nor do I go to Starbucks often. Sure, a job like this could be difficult and demanding and not to mention stressful, but you get what you signed up for.

I'm sure making the drink is a total mess and I'm sure with the high demand of it, you've been stressed out trying to complete 20 orders for this color-changing drink within 10 minutes, but if you're the most stressed out you've ever been in your entire life because you had to make a crazy colored frappucino, your life must be pretty good. The video showed a job well done at expressing an exaggerated opinion, but I think this "rant" helped Starbucks sell more of this Unicorn Frappucino. Sure, it's probably tedious and time-consuming, but your job is to ultimately give the customers what they want. Without the customers, you wouldn't have a job.
Thankfully for Starbucks baristas, it was only limited edition.
