Super Bowl LIII: Is Anyone Excited About The Patriots?

Just typing up the title of this article made me cringe. Everyday I wake up forgetting that the freaking Patriots are in the Super Bowl once again. I'm sick of it, and it has nothing to do with the team itself (well kind of), but I'm so done. I don't even want to watch this Super Bowl because of who's in it. Yeah, I'm an Eagles fan and I'm sad they aren't in it, but I REALLY wanted the Chiefs and the Rams to play each other in the Super Bowl. Let me explain why practically NO ONE is excited for the Patriots to be in the Super Bowl for the THIRD. YEAR. IN. A. ROW.

When football fans hear the words "New England Patriots" they either cringe or curse under the breath very loudly. No one likes them except for New England fans. Literally nobody. This is their third year in a row making it to the Super Bowl: they one three years ago, lost last year, and now this year. Within the past 10 years they have been in it 5 times and won 2 of them. Now don't get me wrong, Tom Brady is an amazing quarterback, they have an amazing offensive line, and their coach... well he's there. They have a great set up and they are stacked. Tom Brady will most likely end up in the Hall of Fame, and that's fine. Good for him.

BUT! Yes, surprisingly I have something negative to say about the Patriots (said no reasonable NFL fan ever)

When Tom Brady walks into a Patriots practice stating that he is the "baddest motherf*cker on the planet" we are going to have an issue. I'm sorry Brady, but have you seen Bruce Willis, The Rock, Meryl Streep? Those are bad asses. THEY can say that kind of stuff. You are an absolute sore LOSER when it comes to these types of situations. Your team is known for or AT LEAST rumored to be cheating in games, and that is not a good thing.

The Patriots have talent, I will never doubt that. They are a great team and I recognize that.

BUT.

NO ONE WANTS TO SEE TOM BRADY AND HIS STUPID TEAM BE IN THE SUPER BOWL AGAIN. IT JUST GETS ANNOYING.

Listen, I'm sure Patriots fans will read this article and talk crap on it. Fine, call me out. Say that my team has ONE Super Bowl ring (even though we beat you so). Say that my team isn't a dynasty team (yet). Say that my team isn't good enough (lies). If my team was in the Super Bowl repeatedly I would be conflicted about it and here is why.

1) It ruins the magic of being IN the Super Bowl. If you get in it year after year it loses the awe effect of your team being that great.

2) People start to hate and resent your team for always being in the Super Bowl. For example: The Patriots.

3) No one wants a Patriots-like team in the NFL.

When it comes to being good sports and not being douche bags, the Patriots don't really pass that test. I'm sorry but that's what I have observed over the years of watching football. ALSO, their division sucks. Who the hell put the Dolphins, Bills, and Jets with the freaking Patriots? They need to step up their game because that is the ONLY reason why the Patriots get into the playoffs in the first place.

Sigh. I'm an Eagles fan as I've said before, and I know I sound biased, but ask any other NFL fan in the world that isn't a Patriots fan and ask them about the Patriots and their opinion on them. 11/10 they'll say something negative about them.

Sorry to all you Patriots fans out there. I really hope Gurley runs down your throats and scores on you repeatedly. Tom Brady? Please retire soon. For your sake, or someone is going to hurt that pretty face of yours on the field one day.

Take care everyone, and enjoy your week!

P.S. ALSO one last thing. If you really want something to make your day better, watch Tom Brady's 40 yard dash on YouTube. It's hysterical.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
