It's no secret that Parks and Recreation is one of the most relatable shows to be produced. From 2009 to 2015, viewers were blessed with many Knope-isms. Finding a character or storyline to relate is so easy that it's almost like some of the episodes are made specifically for you.

Being college makes the show that much more relatable. With that being said, here are 17 ways Parks and Recreation perfectly described college.

1. When it's one of your busier semesters and there's very little time to sleep between classes, work, and extracurriculars.

2. But then, by some miracle, you're actually able to get a decent amount of sleep.

3. When FAFSA isn't so kind to you because they think all the money that your parents make goes directly to your tuition.

4. When the class discussion turns into a full-blown argument.

5. When you find out there's more to Taco Tuesday than just eating tacos.

6. When the bed in your dorm is lofted and you don't have the energy to climb up to it.

7. When your professor tells you "good work", "well done", or "nice job."

8. When your professor has a phone and laptop policy.

9. When you lay down for a power nap during your break and end up sleeping through one of your classes for the second week in a row.

10. When you're taking an online class and have to respond to people on discussion board posts.

11. When a first-semester freshman says college is easy.

12. When the professor says the final is cumulative.

13. The response your professor gives you when you explain to them why you missed an assignment.

14. When someone takes your unassigned, assigned seat.

15. When you're walking through the student org fair and people are trying to recruit you.

16. When the professor says "this isn't an assignment that you can do the night before it's due."

17. When you write for Odyssey and remember you have an article due in the midst of everything else going on.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
