The holidays are nearing! With that comes stress and panic. Here are some ideas to make your parents smile on that holly jolly morning.Â
1. Framed pictureÂ
I know, cliché. But, it's sentimental. Parents love pictures of their kids. You can get a frame and put a baby picture and a current picture next to each other. Add a tear-jerker hand-written letter to spice it up too.
2. If you have siblings, offer to babysit (for free)
Let your parents go out for the night and happily watch over your siblings. They'll enjoy that a lot.Â
3. Surprise visit!
Being away from home is more of an emotional tug on your parents than you think. Surprise visit them and I guarantee that will be the best present they could ask for.Â
4. Offer to cook!
Give your parents a break and make breakfast or dinner for the family.Â
5. Thrift!
Thrift shopping is my favorite activity when I am on a budget. If you can find nice clothing that reps your campus or other little knick-knacks, grab them! (Remember to wash)Â
Remember always, it's the thought that counts. As long as you show gratitude, appreciation, and thankfulness, you are set. Don't break a sweat over the holidays.Â
