Where the hell is the other shoe?

9 Things That Go Through Your Head When You Pack Up Your Dorm Room

I recently packed up my dorm room to move home for a semester, and honestly, it was a nightmare. Here are a few things I thought while packing, and what will probably go through your head in a few months too.

1. I hope I have enough bags and totes

That's my worst fear. Not having enough bags and things to put all my clothes, knick-knacks and bedding in.

2. How many things did I buy online?

3. Guess I should eat all the food in my fridge

You open your fridge and see a box of pizza, a pint of ice-cream and bottles of alcohol. What else are you supposed to do?

4. Where the hell is the other shoe?

Where. The hell. Is. This. Damn. Shoe.

5. Decorating the walls was more fun than undecorating the walls

The first thing you want to do is make your room nice and homey and then you have to take it all down when you move out. It's honestly a pain in the butt.

6. Do I really need to bring this home?

You look down at your Buffalo Wild Wings crown and you wonder, do you really need this to go back home with you?

7. I'm only making more of a mess

You have a suitcase stuffed to the brim, bedding was thrown in a corner, and things scattered all over your room. It gets worse before it gets better, I promise.

8. How is this all going to fit in the car

You've reached the final step! You then look at the bags, boxes, and totes surrounding you and you just know down deep inside you have to make it all fit.

9. Where the hell am I going to put all of this?

You finally made it home! Congrats! Yet you have no idea how you're going to fit this all back into your bedroom at your parent's house.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
