Ole Miss is home to a wide array of students; everyone is simply welcomed here. Oxford has become a home to anyone who steps into it's beautiful square. No one comes here and doesn't leave with a smile. Why every person here loves Ole Miss is debatable and different for everyone, because Oxford has impacted each of us in a unique way. But here are some of the best things about Ole Miss.

1. The Grove on game days

Literally nothing beats waking up and knowing it's a game day. When walking into the grove, it doesn't matter if you know 2 people or 200, you're all Ole Miss fans and you're all family.

2. The Grove on sunny Fridays in the fall

Sitting in the sun, walking though the Grove, and then seeing red and blue trashcans as far as you can see, there isn't a better day. Snapchat saw it first, though.

3. Beer showers in Swayze

When that home-run starts flying to outfield, run for cover if you're not ready because beer is about to be everywhere. Beer Showers are one of the most fun things you'll ever experience here at Ole Miss.

4. The Phi Mu Fountain

Nothing is prettier than walking to your 9 a.m. and seeing the Phi Mu fountain standing in the middle. Just make sure you don't get caught climbing it at 2 a.m....

5. Bid Day

No matter where you are running or who you're running with, Bid Day is one of the prettiest sights Ole Miss has to offer. Girls in every direction screaming for their lives, and newly housed pledges trying to trip them; it's unforgettable.

6. The Lyceum

One can't talk about Ole Miss and not mention the Lyceum. Being one of the oldest buildings on campus, it's personality and character makes it breathtaking at all times of the day.

7. Ventress Hall

Although most commonly depicted with snow covering, Ventress Hall is stunning all-year around. Maybe it's because it looks like a castle, or maybe it's because it stands out, Ventress is loved by everyone, not just Liberal Arts majors.

8. The Walk of Champions

This is probably where you took pictures before your freshman year because of it's popularity and distinctiveness. The Walk of Champions is dedicated to the Ole Miss Football team of 1962, and possibly the best football team Ole Miss has ever hosted.

9. The Ole Miss sign

You can thank Kappa Delta for donating this beautiful sign that makes entering campus for classes a little bit happier.

10. Vaught on game nights

You've spent all day in the Grove, your feet hurt, you're tired, but if Ole Miss is good at one thing, it's rallying. Standing in Vaught stadium as the sun goes down is something you'll never forget.

11. Actually, the Square on game nights

After we win the football game or lose which is fine too, we like to win the party. Sadly, Roosters, and our football team are no longer going to be functioning but that's ok, we might survive.

12. The Square during the day, too.

Walking through the Square as the sun beams down makes you feel proud to call this place your home. Walking in and out of shops, exchanging words with random strangers, and daiquiris at Funky's make the day time a great time.

13. Falkner's House

If you haven't been to Rowan Oak, then have you really visited Oxford? This gorgeous home stands in Oxford as a beautiful reminder of the greatest writer of the south.

14. Sardis Lake

After a long day, or a short one, a nice 20 minute drive to see Sardis is healing to the heart, soul, and mind.

15. Most importantly, just about any Oxford sunset

Every sunset in Oxford is a sunset you'll never forget. There is literally something so special about Oxford sunsets that make them literally the best sunsets in the entire world.

16. Lastly, seeing this sign after being gone too long

Home is where the heart is, and if your heart doesn't reside in Oxford, you must have never been here. Oxford is home for everyone, no matter where you're originally from. And although you may leave Mississippi, I promise you'll always find a little bit of happiness when you see this sign again.

So whether you're from Mississippi or just passing through, Ole Miss becomes a home to anyone who enters it. Ask anyone, it's the greatest place on Earth.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
