Ayesha Curry: twenty-seven years old, married with children, and a growing career all while she shows the media how the "good girl finishes last". Since taking to Twitter, where the infamous black twitter community patrols 24/7, she addressed how women of today prefer to dress classless by not wearing enough clothes. Many hated her statement, and took to the good ole memes to respond:
Thou shall not drink
Think about it, our generation truly does love to drink and "turn up" a lot. But what's wrong with not drinking? If someone chooses not too, that's fine and dandy, they just wish to keep their body purer.
Thou shall keep your virginity till marriage
If not any other, at least our generation could learn from this, just gonna leave that here just like this.
Thou shall not fornicate
Call it childish if you want, but think about your daughters (and sons). It really bothers me when I hear people say they'll make sure their children don't fall for this and that, but they're the main reason for it and are doing it themselves. Seriously, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.
Thou shall attempt to have one father for all kids
Seriously, why put yourself through the stress? A child is to be the representation of love from a union not two separate people. We really could use less Jerry Springer and Maury, less chaos at court and in our neighborhoods from issues like this that could've been prevented in a way.
Thou shall respect yourself & others
Hold it! You can hold the pettiness in. If there's one thing we ladies can do perfectly, is provide the salt, and I mean to the point of diabetes. But as I think more about it, we really should lay off the salt some. Why not make Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, and Instagram a happier place instead of being filled with rants, mystery pics of who you're out with this time around, and subtweeting about someone that could set y'all issue on fire any second.
Overall, I truly adore Ayesha Curry, she's doing something way different that we as black women don't get recognized enough for in America. She went and got her education, dated for quite a while and then married, after that she had children, she's a firm believer in God, and does whatever makes her purely happy. That's everything we're not shown as doing in this country and instead of attempting to bring her down, we should lift her up and thanking her for being the one of many we can teach our daughters, sisters, nieces, cousins, etc about. Remember there's many paths one could take, but the hardest, narrowest, longest path is the best one in the long run.
Peace.Love. Kinks!
