Earlier this week, we saw the premiere of "The Good Doctor." Within the next few weeks, we also will be seeing the return of other beloved medical dramas when Grey's Anatomy and Chicago Med premiere. In order to combat the filming difficulties created by the coronavirus pandemic, many TV shows have created similar pandemic storylines to help incorporate safety measures. While a few shows have already begun to implement these storylines, most of them were comedies, which made light of the situation. The addition of these storylines in medical dramas will be unlike what we have seen within other shows. Personally, I was not a big fan of this idea. I understand how it helped protect the cast; but, I didn't think I would enjoy watching everything we have experienced over the last few months on my TV screen. Ultimately, my curiosity got the best of me despite not seeing a single episode, and I watched the premiere of "The Good Doctor." So here is what I enjoyed about the premiere of "The Good Doctor" and their coronavirus storyline.

1. A new perspective

By adding these storylines into our favorite medical dramas, it provides a new perspective. While it is fictional, it doesn't mean that these portrayals don't account for the feelings many of our frontline workers have felt or what we have felt ourselves throughout this pandemic.

2.  The tiny details

In "The Good Doctor" premiere they did more than show us what was happening inside the hospital. They also shows how characters were handling the pandemic in their personal lives. This meant Zoom meetings, quarantine hobbies, and not being able to see your friends or family.

3. The emotional portrayal

Over all the cast did an amazing job of channeling their emotions into these episodes. The first episode did a great job of showing the worry, stress and uncertainty that many of us have felt over the last few months.

4. The shared experience

The thing I think is the most powerful about this storyline, is the ability to unite people through a shared experience. When you're watching a show, there might be something you relate to every few episodes; but, this is something everyone can relate to. We all have experienced this pandemic together and are going through the same things. This can remind us of that.

5. The uncertainty

Today, we still remain very uncertain about the coronavirus pandemic and the same can be said for the characters on the show. We don't know what is going to happen and neither do they. How is this going to affect the future of some of our favorite shows and where is this about to go?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
