I grew up watching "Spongebob" and going to OU football games. After finishing my first year at OU, and occasionally watching Spongebob, I realized there are many similarities to both of these wonderful places. Here are 11 reasons that The University of Oklahoma is basically Bikini Bottom.

1. Chick-fil-a is the Krusty Krab

What has the longest line in the Union? Chick-fil-a. We also have all you can eat Chick-fil-a in the Caf.

2. Tour groups are like the minnows

Whether it is a tour group, or a random groups of kids, they just add to the already crowded space in the union.

3. The Chum Bucket is like Crossroads

Let's be honest, it's the lesser alternative to everything else in the union. Union Market food even comes before this. It's the best when it is very late or you can only use a meal exchange.

4. Jellyfish Fields is like the South Oval

In the vast openness and beauty of Jellyfish Fields, you can watch and observe the jellyfish. This is similar to the south oval and its squirrels.

5. Tentacle Acres is Headington Hall

Just like the squids that live in Tentacle Acres, the residents of Headington feel they have some unjustified prestige because they live where they do.

6. The Flying Dutchman is a bad omen, just like the clock tower

Look up while walking under the clock tower and you'll never graduate. Meet the Flying Dutchman and you'll lose your soul.

7. The Bizz is Mount Climb-up and Fall-off

During midterms and finals, the Bizz is treated like this Mountain. We try to study so our grades will climb, but we fall asleep, become unproductive, etc., while in the Bizz.

8. Make-Out Reef is the Spoonholder

If you go to OU, you understand this.

9. The tunnels in the Engineering quad are like the Bikini Bottom Caves

You probably didn't know Bikini Bottom had caves, just like you didn't know about the tunnels in the Engineering quad.

10. Goo Lagoon is the Union

Obviously, there is no place to swim in the union, but with all of the events that are happening in the union, this makes it the perfect comparison to Goo Lagoon.

11. The University is like Mr. Krabs because they just want all of our money

I love OU, but college is expensive. It feels like most colleges just want our money.
