Dear Class of 2016,

Good luck with your last semester of college! Also, thank you for everything you did during your college careers. Whether it was volunteering, serving on the executive board of a club, or playing at an open mic night, you truly made an impact on this campus. So thank you for leaving it better than how you found it. The rest of us not yet graduating will miss you.

You were our tutors, our mission trip leaders, our grandbigs, our intramural team members, our coworkers, our teacher assistants, our orientation leaders, our trivia team members, and our study abroad partners. You gave us class recommendations, teacher recommendations, restaurant recomendations, club recommendations, and dating advice. You took us under your wings. You made fun of us when we embarrassed ourselves, but most importantly you were some of our best friends.

We got to spend part of our college careers together. For me it was the beginning and for you it was the end. You made my transition into college easier, having a cool older kid by my side, and I made your last years a little more fun by reminding you what dining halls and dorm living was like. You reminded us to give ourselves a break from studying when we deserved it and we reminded you to work a little harder when senioritis started getting to you.

The years of college we spent together were just long enough to build strong friendships, but short
enough it makes saying goodbye so hard. At the end of this semester, a lot of you are moving away to places all across the country. Some of you are staying here, but it still won't be the same not having you campus. It's actually kind of nice knowing you're entering the real world first. Us college kids will get to watch you do this so-called "being an adult" thing before we actually have to give it a shot.

We look up to you so much and we can't wait to see all of the amazing things you do in this world. Class of 2016, you have taught us a lot, you have helped us a lot, and we have been inspired by you. Thank you for being great role models and letting us watch you do all the scary things first.

Even though I'm just a lowly underclassmen now I hope to one day be half as helpful to the future underclassmen once I'm a cool older kid myself. Your advice and guidance has helped me to grow into a better person throughout my college career. Your presence on campus will be greatly missed.

Let's make the most of this last semester together on campus. Don't forget to come back to visit!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
