An Open Prayer For The Upcoming School Year
Ally Mishell Smith

Dear God,

Thank You for the blessings that You have given me so far and the blessings that You will give me in the future. Thank You for loving me and all my flaws. Thank You for giving Your life so that I could live. Thank You for always having open arms. Thank You for your never ending love.

I pray that I would be bold in my walk and that I would never be ashamed of You or my faith. (Rom. 1:16)

I pray that I would need You on my best day just as much as I do on my worst day. (Psalm 116:2)

I pray that I will never let an opportunity to show others how wonderful Your grace and love is, slip through my fingertips. I pray that I would love others the way You love. (1 Tim. 6:12)

I pray that this school year and the years to come that I would never stop pursuing You. (Heb. 11:6)

I pray that everything that I do glorifies You. (Col. 3:23)

I pray that others would see You in me. (Phil. 1:27)

I pray that You would allow me to hide Your word in my heart so that I may not sin against You. (Psalm 119:11)

I pray that I would surround myself with fellow Christians who hold me accountable, lead me towards You, and stays closer than a brother. (Prov. 18:24)

I pray that I never lose sight of You, no matter who is against me. (Psalm 55:18)

I pray that I will never forget that You are always with me and never lose my trust in You. (Psalms 13:5-6)

I pray that I learn that everything is in Your timing, and to never give up, (Luke 11: 9-13)

I pray that though I may fall, I get back up again because I know that You have me in the palm of Your hand. (Psalm 37:24)

I pray that I never become worried or anxious. (Matt. 6:34)

I pray that I build others up with words of encouragement rather than tearing others down. (Eph. 4:29)

I pray that I will never give up because I know that the hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times. (2 Cor. 4:16-18)

I pray that I will always remember that this world is my temporary home and that You have a place prepared for me in Heaven. (2 Cor. 5:1)

I pray that even in the hard times, I would learn to be still and say "It is well with my soul." (Ps. 46:10)

Thank You for everything You have done for me, and everything You will do. I love you.

In Your Holy Name, I pray,

Your child

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
