My grammie, poppop, and grandma... I was raised by these three individuals when my mom and dad were out of town, after my mom passed away, and taught tough love when things didn't go my way. Two of them have gone to heaven, and one is still living. My grandparents were/are my best friends when no one else was around.
Thank you for all of the unconditional love each and every single day.
Thank you for having the best, biggest backyards to run around in.
Thank you for all of the toys you all had for me to play with under the kitchen table when I didn't want to talk anymore.
Thank you for letting me bake with you, even though sometimes I could tell you probably didn't want/need my help.
Thank you for building my first pair of golf clubs and teaching me how to play.
Thank you for coming to my school plays or musicals.
Thank you for making the trip all the way from Texas to come celebrate my high school graduation.
Thank you for taking care of me when I was sick or fell off my bike.
Thank you for reading me The Night Before Christmas on every Christmas Eve.
Thank you for taking me out for special days to get our nails done.
Thank you for being so excited for me when I earned Honor Roll or Headmaster's List on my report card.
Thank you both for the two jewelry boxes that one Christmas I accidentally asked all of you for a jewelry box.
Thank you for sending me letters and flowers when I was at summer camp.
Thank you for taking me to the pond to feed the ducks and letting me control your sail boats.
Thank you for helping me grieve the loss of my mom.
Thank you for putting up with me when I wouldn't call you for three or four weeks.
Thank you for all of the kisses that would leave me with a huge lipstick stain on my cheek.
I love you all, and grammie and poppop, I miss you everyday. You all have taught me so much and been the best grandparents a girl like me could ever ask for.
Love,
Your granddaughter
