An Open Letter To My Boyfriend

I can never thank you enough.

An Open Letter To My Boyfriend
Maria Pericozzi

To the one that spends 23/24 of the hours in a day by my side, I can’t ever find enough words. I can’t thank you enough for everything you do.

Dear boyfriend,

Thank you.

From getting off the bed to plug in my computer cord when I don’t feel like moving, from hugging me super tight when I feel like I’m falling apart, to leaving me post-it notes on my desk and in my planner to motivate me, to helping me deal with everything life throws at me, I thank you for always being there.

1. Thank you for walking into my life.

I think a lot about what brought us together and I can’t help but believe in fate, even if you don’t. I’ve never met someone more perfect, someone who I can imagine spending the next seventy years of my life with. You mean everything to me and more and I thank my lucky stars every day that you walked into my life. Neither of us wanted a relationship in our first year of college and that is why we work so well. We caught each other off guard. We weren’t even looking for each other, we found each other.

2. Thank you for making me laugh when I feel like there’s nothing to laugh about.

If I didn’t have you doing a romantic tear swipe when I shed a couple tears, I would fall apart. Thank you for always listening when I really need you to, even if other times you’re not 100% focused on me.

3. Thank you for the endless compliments.

Thank you for always telling me I’m beautiful even if sometimes I don’t believe it. Thank you for constantly reminding me that I don’t need makeup to be beautiful. Thank you for believing in me and always telling me that you think I’m going places. Without your constant support, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

4. Thank you for loving me even when you’re hating me.

I don’t know how you do it, but thank you for putting up with my mood swings. Thank you for putting up with my silliness and being silly right back. Thank you for putting up with my need to take hundreds of pictures even if you get annoyed, I want to capture every moment spent with you. Thank you for putting up with my taste in music.

5. Thank you for being my best friend.

Thank you for always being there fr me to vent to and always having open arms. Thank you for watching countless hours of Netflix shows with me and movies you wouldn’t watch on your own, thank you for not complaining. Thank you for pretending to like the chic flics I make you watch. Thank you for singing Taylor Swift with me in the car. Thank you for traveling to a different country with me.

6. Thank you for being you.

Thank you for letting me fall in love with you more and more each day. Thank you for being the most compassionate person I’ve ever met, putting yourself before others. Thank you for being the wonderful man that you are.

Thank you for loving me every single day and I hope you continue loving me until my last breath crosses my lips. You mean everything to me and more.

I love you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
