What really is a best friend?
As you get older you start to realize that the relationships you have in your life should be about quality and not quantity.
Having a few true friends who love you to death and truly care about your well-being will forever outweigh a million fake ones.
As the years of your life go by you lose the people you thought you would never lose, you stop keeping in touch with people who you promised to stay friends with forever.
These people will always be in your memories and you can be thankful for that, but there will always be those few special people in your life, that will never leave your side; they are your true best friends and once you reach a certain age you will start to realize who these people really are.
People leave your life either to make room for better people or to make more time for the people who care so much about you.
So the next time someone walks out on you or turns out to be someone you thought they weren't, don't let it get you too upset... Take it as an opportunity to appreciate the people in your life who are there for you.
I would not be who I am today without my best friends, my childhood best friends I've grown up with, my group of friends at college, and maybe more to come.
Each one of my friends has something special about them that I appreciate so much.
I appreciate everything I have in common with them and everything I do differently. I have learned so much from my friends, and they have all helped me through so much.
My friends have been there for me more than they know and I am proud to say they have influenced parts of who I am today.
So in the end, I want to thank you, thank you for being my friend, thank you for being there for me because I will always be here for you.
