Giving advice comes so naturally, but taking that same advice is like climbing Mt. Everest.

Hey you!

You're literally the best at helping solve everyone else's problems and giving advice. Everyone comes to you for it, and knows you give great hugs and have the incredible patience to listen to everything. You think through all of the problems systematically, finding the best solutions and providing pros and cons of other possible ways to fix a problem. You're the first person there to help when you know someone's having a rough day, and you're always ready with sound advice. Only problem? If you ever have problems, you're not so awesome at taking your own advice.

It's so easy to help other people. But in guiding yourself, sometimes you forget that you need to take care of yourself the way you take care of other people. You think you're an invincible super human, but you really aren't. It can be hard to accept that, but sitting down and taking your own advice is a great way to help yourself.

The first thing you have to do is take a step back. You can't just sit down and try to solve your own problem because you're living in it. That makes it really hard to see the whole picture the way someone on the outside easily can. Once you've done that, start the typical pros and cons list for your options. Think really hard about all of it and don't make a decision right away. Bounce it off some friends first. I know it's hard to be vulnerable and admit you're struggling, but sometimes it's the best thing you can do for yourself. And ultimately, that's the goal.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to take a moment and reconnect with yourself. If you're like me and your life spins in a million different directions every day, it's really tough to just take a break and do that. But you need it, and you deserve it. A lot of people are never going to understand why you do so much and why you won't listen to them telling you to scale back and take a break. But, that's okay.

It's okay to be driven, and it's okay to give everything you have in order to accomplish your dreams. But, make sure you're taking the advice you'd give yourself if you could sit down and talk to you. If you're not, stop, think about it, and take your own advice. It works magic at making everything easier, and way more fun. That's what life is about anyways.

We're all on this ride together. Your amazing ability to give advice shouldn't be kept away from yourself. If anything, you deserve the amazing advice you give everyone else. And who knows? Your own advice might be the key you need to reach those goals you're working hard towards. No matter what though, just don't forget about taking care of yourself. What would everyone else do if you weren't there to give amazing advice? Let's not ever live in such a world.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
