Dear Shadow, Tom and Geri (Geraldine for short),

I am so glad I have you all in my life. Though, as I am typing this, Geri is trying to eat tape. Life is such an adventure with you guys. From my sister dressing you in random costumes, never being able to find a hair tie because you knock them all off the counter and the madness that occurs whenever I point a laser near you, life is always fun with you all around. People try to tell me dogs are better, but like you guys, I just don't see it. Dogs just don't have the personality and sass like you guys.

Shadow, you used to be evil, but as you've gotten older, we have come to love and respect each other. You were the cutest kitten and you used to follow us around, which is how you got your name- Shadow. I remember how sad we all were when you ran away on Valentine's Day a few years back, and how happy we were when we found you the following May.

Tom, we are blessed to have you in our lives. You are the fluffiest and sweetest cat alive. I love how you can hear me say, "Treat" no matter where I am in the house, and you come wandering into the room to make sure you get one. You are so cute when you roll on to your back, waiting for us to pet your belly. However, I don't really love the amount of fur you leave everywhere, but if it's the price we have to pay to have you in our lives, we will gladly pay it.

Geri, I could never tell the other cats this, but you're my favorite. You are such a sweetheart, except to Tom, and you are the chunkiest cat alive, which just makes you all the more adorable. I love how trainable you are- how you come when I call you and how you sit on command. You make the funniest face when we pet your favorite spot, and you love to lick us to death with your sandpaper tongue.

If writing a letter to my cats makes me a crazy cat lady, then so be it. I love my cats, and who needs a boyfriend when you have three amazing cats. If at forty I am still single and own a million cats, then I will be living the dream.

Sincerely,

Your Owner

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
