An Open Letter To The Boys Who Lived In The Apartment Above Me

Thank you for all the shower concerts.

To the boys that lived above me in my college apartment,

I really debated taping this letter to your door after I had moved out, but I thought this would be a less petty way of telling you how much I loved living in the apartment below you.

Thank you for all the shower concerts at 11 pm you had almost every single night. I greatly enjoyed listening to you sing Bruno Mars, Post Malone, and even Justin Bieber at the top of your lungs. You helped me discover lots of new music, where most of the time, I had to Shazam the song from just standing in my bathroom.

Also, thank you for playing soccer all.the.time. You may not have thought it was loud, but it was. I'd like to know how you could kick around a ball for that long of a time in such a small space. How do you even have the energy to play so much soccer at the end of your day?

Lastly, I'd like to thank you for all the parties you threw (even though it was probably only 4 or 5.) I loved listening to your even louder music that I didn't even think about Shazaming. I'm sure y'all were real catches with all the girls I heard laughing upstairs too.

I'm going to miss you living above me this summer, and as I move into my new apartment next year. I even requested to live on the top floor so no other apartment would replace you.

From,

The girl who lived in the apartment below you for an entire year.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
