America,

Have we forgotten as Americans what division has done to our country. We have divided people by their skin color, their religion, their race, their education, the list could go on. Do we not remember how detrimental division is?. Have we gone blind America? We were given the right to vote so that we could voice our concerns and lead the country in the right direction. We weren't given the right to vote so we could create a detrimental society. We fought for years for this freedom. Have we been so consumed into our daily lives that we have forgotten a time where women, blacks, and immigrants could not vote. People dedicated their whole lives for a vote. Something that we take so easily for granted in our times. Don't be the person who calls for governmental progress and then decides not to vote. If you want change, be the change, and make the change. Do not sit back and critique the way things are ran, help decide how things will be ran instead. Vote people, Vote. The 2016 Election has shown the sides of America no one should be proud of. We are pinning races and religions against each other. We are speaking out of emotions and not facts. We are making decisions out of fear. Everyday people are losing friends and family over who they are voting for. Everyone is titled to their own views and opinions. Just because a person made the decision to say who they voted for or will does not mean they are asking for you to convince them otherwise. This does not mean you should tear this person down. If someone does not share your same views that does not mean you must engage in an argument trying to convince the other person to agree with you. By fighting with others you are helping to feed the division. Yes you are titled to your opinion, but do not destroy relationships during the process. This election is the turning point in our society. This should not be the very push we need to become more divided. We all need to respect other people's views regardless on if they match ours. This means that on Election Day we must come together. Yes November 8th could potentially change the very foundation of our society , but lets not recreate a history of division. America we've come so far. Yes, things need change and reform, but do not let this election get the best of us. Do not let this election shape the way people will see you for the rest of your life. Do not let this election make you chose a side, or your friends, or family. Do not let this election define who you are. I have faith in you America. Don't let me down.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
