As sign nights come and go, it's hard to watch all your older friends go to bars that you cannot go to. When all your friends are 21 but you're still underage, it sucks. They feel bad going out without you, but you also feel bad from keeping them from going to the bars. Here's everything that happens when you're the last one to turn the big 2-1.

1. You're the DD

Hopefully someone will offer to be the designated driver for you when you turn 21

2. You request to go to bars where they let you in under

These bars aren't fun though

3. You sit and gawk at the 21+ bars

4. You patiently await your sign night

The time is coming. Don't worry.

5. You wish that you could fast forward time slightly

6. It's not like you have a countdown or anything

7. You're happy your friends are finally 21

8. But you also wish you could be 21 with them

9. You plan things around you being under 21

10. You know that your time will come

Sooner or later...

So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
