So One Direction's hiatus has been in effect for over a year now and fans are getting skeptical of whether or not they will ever come back together. As a fan myself, I would love for them to get back together and go on tour, but they all have individual projects that are coming out right now and I am very excited for them. Over the past 6 years they have been on the road non-stop popping albums out left and right. They have always be "One Direction", not Harry, Niall, Louis, Liam (and Zayn I guess too). Now that they are taking a break they are able to relax, take time, and focus on themselves and they have some pretty exciting thing happening for them.

1. Harry Styles

This man can do anything and everything. Not only does he have a voice that melts everyone's hearts, he is also now dabbling into some modeling too. On September 29th the magazine, AnotherMan, released an issue featuring Harry. This issue is filled with pictures of Harry freely expressing himself, and seeing him like this make me, and other fans happy.

2. Niall Horan

This irish heartthrob has been doing more than just golfing on his time off. Niall dropped his new single, "This Town", and everyone is freaking out. This song is solely features Niall and his guitar and it sounds incredible. He recently signed to Capitol Records so we can only hope for more from him in the future.

3. Liam Payne

Although Liam has not dropped any surprises on us yet like Harry and Niall have, there is definitely something in the making. Liam too signed to Capitol Records and 2 weeks ago on Instagram he posted a picture of him in the studio captioning it, "Hard at work". So now it is only a matter of time before we get to hear what he has been working on over the break.

4. Louis Tomlinson

It's still hard to believe that Louis is a father, but his son, Freddie, is absolutely adorable. This break has been especially helpful for him because he is not buying touring and can spend a lot of time with his son. Louis hasn't completely been keeping in the dark, for he was a guest judge on America's Got Talent.

5. Zayn Malik, or should I say ZAYN

Zayn also started his own solo career, but he did it a lot soon than the rest of the boys. He left the band while in the middle of their tour and it was confusing and frustrating for a couple months following his departure, but things are good now. He released his album, Mind of Mine which featured some hit songs like "PILLOWTALK". So even though some people are still bitter, we can only wish him the best.
