After a long two weeks of constant breaking news surrounding President Donald Trump's new policies, singer Beyonce Knowles-Carter blessed the world with the best news possible: the queen is pregnant with twins! Amazing, right? I know. Beyonce, thank you for not only gracing us with your presence, the love between you and Jay-Z, then the presence of your precious 5-year-old Blue Ivy, but now your unborn twins as well. You have given us a wonderful way to take our minds off of the Republican Party by now letting us obsess over your unborn children.
Beyonce announced her pregnancy on February 1st, 2017, by posting a photo on her Instagram, a photo which has gotten almost 9 million likes so far. Her post states:
"We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters"
Additionally, she also released pictures from her maternity photoshoot on her website that includes both photos of herself and photos with her daughter Blue Ivy. On the website, the phrase "I have 3 hearts" is written on each posted photograph.
Beyoncé's second pregnancy announcement on the first day of Black History Month came close to topping her first public pregnancy announcement of her daughter Blue Ivy during the 2011 MTV Music Video Awards. After her MTV performance, Beyoncé revealed her baby belly to the crowd and the internet soon went crazy with the surprising news. Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z welcomed their first child, Blue Ivy, to the world on January 7, 2012. Blue Ivy, now age 5, will soon be a big sister to two new additions to their already legendary family.
While her due date is still unclear, some people have become skeptical about her expected Grammy appearance later this month. She is nominated for nine awards for her album "Lemonade," including Album of the Year. Also, she is said to be headlining at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California in April. According to TMZ, Beyoncé has no intention on cancelling her scheduled performances at Coachella even though some people have speculated that she might be nearly 4 or 5 months pregnant already. By the time of the festival, she will likely be in her third trimester of her pregnancy. Between the Grammy Awards and the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Beyoncé is set to have a busy, but satisfying schedule for the remainder of her pregnancy.
