Be Silent Like A Ninja

Observe, Collect, and Sneak Attack

Be Silent Like A Ninja

We have had the presidential inauguration and there will more than likely be a regurgitation of all the past arguments and discussions that happened after the presidential election of 2016. The worst is over, (thank god) however there is still more to come with our new president. For some people, the next four years will be long and difficult, for others it'll be a thrill. It's going to be quite the roller coaster ride.

With the new year in gear, the most probable course of action is to steam on ahead. But let's get a few things straight here. It's true and unfortunate for most people that the most obnoxious, rude, white guy won the election. It's a waste of air by talking about stuff that can be done but you are not doing. Do your research, look up phone numbers of representatives, join active groups that take action, compose letters/emails, and make other people aware of what they can do, by just taking action. Be stealthy like a ninja, observe, collect information, then attack.

2016 was a mess; there were countless of posts about people's opinions about the presidential electors, just stating that they were voting for this person because the other nominee was horrible. There were also statements made that people didn't care about what others thought of them. Some people got up in your face about thier opinion and they were defriended or unfollowed because of thier preferred platform. Negative and useless posts like that are just annoying. They might as well have made a parade about who they were voting for and then pick a fight in the streets. Pretty ugly. Besides, social websites are mostly used for just taking a break and you want to see what is funny in your feed, or you want to see what everyone else is up to. Some people may be prone to just ignore whatever their friends post.

Let's not forget that the social media is a HUGE part of everyone's lives; ideas and rumors are spread like wild fire and pratically the whole world knows what your favorite underwar is under five minutes. The media is also a tool, depending how you present yourself. Whether the information may be misleading or not, be a ninja; hide in the shadows to observe the information and do the research to confirm if it's from an accurate source.

Being educational on the social websites is better than just stating an opinion; mentoring someone who doesn't know much about a subject also isn't a bad idea. In the end, it just comes down to being respectful to others and their opinions. Good luck this year my fellow ninjas!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
