Nursing students have all picked to go into this field for a variety of reasons. What make us similar are the thoughts and things we say on the road to getting to put those initials behind our name..
1. "Where is my pen?"
2. "Where is my pen light?"
3. "LOL, I'm only taking 12 credit hours, but it's a little different than that quilting major."
4. "Not select all and apply! 5 Questions without partial credit for a semi-right answer."
5. "Hi, can I get a venti double shot cinnamon dulce latte? Actually, make it a triple."
6. "There are like nine different diagnosis stemming from this one breathing issue..."
7. "All of these drugs have the same mechanism of action."
8. "Let's see, it's down to A, B, or C. Wait, D sounds good too..."
9. "My clinical instructor is amazing!"
10. "Where's that easy A in a gen ed class when you need it?"
11. "Can I retake my hospital ID picture?"
12. "Wait, renal failure is a possibility here too?"
13. "Why do we have to learn all of these anti-fungal drugs?"
14. Just put on gloves: "Why does my nose suddenly itch?"
15. "Hey, I hate to leave early, but I have a Med-Surg test tomorrow and a Patho paper to prep for."
16. "How many questions are going to include hand washing?"
17. "I wonder if I'm getting one of these types of anemia..?!"
18. "Yes, I'm a guy, and yep, I am a nursing student."
19. "Patient is stressed, yep, I am too."
20. "I'm intimidated, but more thankful for everyone and everything so far."
21. "These worksheets and extra charting WILL be worth it after I graduate."
What do you all think? How many do you relate to?
