So, it's that time of year again. Black Friday is approaching us. We're all going nuts for discounts on items that have been much higher prices during the year. We have a good Thanksgiving feast in us, and we are fueled for getting discounts. There are discounts and we are unstoppable.
Do not let this unstoppable urge control you. There will be discounts, of course, but keep in mind you can order items online so you don't have to go out on the holiday just to get sales. There is more to this time of the year, simply in the idea of Thanksgiving. A holiday where we appreciate what we already have. This doesn't mean you can't get the discounts, just don't let it consume you entirely.
Before we go around asking for more, we just need to take a look at what we already have. You can make the call from that judgment alone. Material things are very little in the big picture, but it's nice to have them. So, it's okay to have material things, but it's not the reason you're alive. You're alive and you have the ability to exist, care, love, hurt, and the rest are too many to name.
Since you are alive with these abilities, don't be blindsided by material things, as they are minimal. As they say, it's who you are that counts, not what you look like. Superficial aspects play a very small role when it comes to being a good person.
So, appreciate what you have, and don't worry so much about what you don't. You can see it as a worst case scenario, but some people have nothing. That should motivate you to appreciate how lucky you are and to give to those who don't have these things. Be thankful for the fact that you're able to be the person that has everything and is still able to genuinely give at the end of the day.
