It is officially December I can smell the holiday joy in the air. It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Anyways, I started monthly favorites 2 month ago and now it is time for another monthly favorite article. I have no clue how many of you are reading out there, but I am going to keep this going. And in case you care, this is not sponsored.

1. HomeScape

This is a home remodeling game with the Butler Austin. Butler Austin is going back to his childhood home only to realized that their mansion is all beat up and his parents are selling it. So it is up to you and Austin to fix the house and convince his parents that they are able to take care of the house. Great game, but if you don’t want to pay the money, you need to make up for that with a lot of brain. I was stuck on level 28 and still stuck on level 28 so, there you go.

2. Peak

This is a game created to improve brain functions. It offers a set of games to test your abilities on different criteria and keeps track of your improvement. It is pretty cool. You can set a reminder to remind yourself to do it every day.

3. The Great British Baking Show

I have always liked this show but struggled to find a place to watch it. I had no idea that the show is on Netflix. I have been watching that show way too much it is not even funny. And as a foodie at college where everything I eat is good but not great, I don’t blame myself for wanting some good meat pie. Man, they looked so delicious. Talking about food, I could use some right now.

4. A Christmas Prince

This is a Netflix original movie. An editor named Amber who wants to make her name as a journalist, in a very rare occasion she is sent to a foreign country to cover a royal story at Christmas. Anyways, that is all I can tell you. And it is a cheesy Christmas movie, but you know what, that is the best kind of movie to watch on the holiday season.

5. Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

Laneige is a Korean beauty brand. This water sleeping mask is very good. Because I have skin that can’t take oil so this mask is extremely good for me because it is pure hydration gel instead of a cream. You don’t have to wash it after you applied it. when you wake up in the morning, your face will feel nice and soft.

6. Milk Makeup cooling water

Don’t be fooled by its name. It is actually a stick. It provides moisture to your skin in a stick form instead of a spray form. Very innovative and fun and not to mention easy to travel with. Especially for flying.

7. Too Faced Christmas 2017 Best Year Ever eye shadow palettes

I am no beauty guru but this palette kind of has everything you need: 3 sets of eye shadows, a blush, a highlighter, a contour and a sample sized Better Than Sex mascara. Beautiful things, it also includes a little booklet of four different looks you can do with the set. It is very useful.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
