My life motto: "Sometimes, even on the rainy days, you have to create your own sunshine."
If you can't find the sunshine, be the sunshine. I am a firm believer that a smile and a positive attitude can you get you so far in life. I have always been known to be the girl that is always smiling and that will laugh at any joke. I love my life this way because I enjoy every second of it.
I, like everyone else in the world, have been through my fair share of hardships. I've had my heart broken a time or two, I've failed an exam, I've had deaths in the family, I have given something my all and not had it turn out in my favor. I've been through it. It's not like I have had a perfect life, and I am not trying to convince myself that my life is perfect. I recognize when things are going wrong or make me sad, and I let myself feel those emotions, and then I slap a smile back on my face.
In my opinion, there is nothing more important than positivity.
The best thing about being an optimist is that it often times rubs off on others too. You want to be the energy that others want to be around. Being happy is the only way to live a fulfilled life. Appreciate the little things, laugh at the dad jokes, don't let any boys make you sad for too long because life is way too short.
There are other things that are important in life, obviously. Family, friends, religion, education, success. All of these things contribute to a happy life as well. I see positivity as an umbrella for all of these other values. We should all learn to appreciate these values a little more with a smile on our face and a pep in our step. You cannot appreciate your friends and family if you don't know how to be happy with yourself and when you are around them, first.
Sometimes it might be hard to always keep a smile on your face. That's okay, that's just natural human emotion. Like I said, it is important to recognize negative feelings, however, we cannot let them overtake us. There is a bright side to every situation, no matter how difficult it may be to find. You just have to keep searching.
One of the biggest questions the human race asks is, "what is the meaning of life?" No matter what you believe in or what kind of answer you have formed to this question, I think that most people can agree, whatever we do we should be happy while we do it. We should be enjoying this life and appreciating everything it has to offer.
My parents spent a lot of money for me to have braces, twice. I plan on showing off these pearly whites until the day I die.
Because, at the end of the day, if we're not smiling and happy, what's the point of all of this?
