I'm Not The Same I Was Freshman Year But That's OK
Casey Whoolery-Pratt

To The Freshman Me,

If only you could see how different your life played out than you anticipated it to.

You've experienced heartaches, severe anxiety, financial struggles, and a list more. However, you've also gained the right kind of love, new outlooks on life, new passions, and a more positive mentality. And because of these, it all became worth it.

Your knowledge has expanded in more areas than just your major. You have learned to be more driven, trust in the Lord, and that your car definitely needs oil to run. You have gained knew friends outside of your organizations. And that is okay to have friends that aren't mutual to the ones you already have.

You became way more open minded and tried knew things. Who knew you would love your new job so much? You became more money conscious. Even though the money you will be making will be going straight out the door due to bills, you are not spending it on last minute unnecessary items.

The gym is your happy place. Go even when you don't want to, I promise you will leave feeling inspired. You want the world even more than you did yesterday. Trust me, you may think you've seen it all, but darling there is still so much more to explore. Spoiler Alert: Germany is more beautiful than you think.

You became more and more okay with change. You will experience some really rough hardships. So hard that every time you bounce back from it, you get knocked right back down again. But good news! You got right back up every single time. Even stronger than before in fact.

If only you could see yourself now. I just know you would be your own role model if you could.

Love,

Your Senior Self

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
