Everyone struggles with something.
Some have family problems, others have addictions and a few struggle with perfectionism. We all tell ourselves that we "should" be something or someone, just to fit this idea of who we think we "should" be to fit in. So, we tell ourselves lies as a way to make up for how we are not enough.
But, what if we replaced these lies with some truth? Think of how much better life would be!
1. Lie: You're not enough.
Truth: It is unbelievable how enough you are.
2. Lie: Nobody will ever love you.
Truth: Look around at all the people who DO love you.
3. Lie: You'll never have any friends.
Truth: Once again, look around! Stop comparing yourself to all the people around you!
4. Lie: You're not skinny enough.
Truth: Trust your body. You are on your own journey.
5. Lie: You're not pretty enough.
Truth: The same God that painted sunsets in the sky also created you. You are beautiful.
6. Lie: You're too loud.
Truth: Anyone who tells you you're too loud is too annoying.
7. Lie: You're too quiet.
Truth: And?
8. Lie: You're too uptight.
Truth: Last time I checked, being uptight doesn't get you arrested.
9. Lie: You're not smart enough.
Truth: No person on the planet gets A's all the time! One B on a test isn't going to ruin your GPA.
Sometimes, we get so wrapped up in the lies that we forget how enough we truly are. Tell yourself some truth every once in a while.
