"Do You Have A Job Yet?" And 13 Other Things College Seniors Are Tired Of Hearing

It's graduation season for those who are graduating in May! This is usually one of the most stressful times of college. It's like one last push to get all those tests, assignments and projects in in an effort to go from a B+ to an A- in order to try and save your GPA, but it's also the time where you parents, grandparents and even friends are hounding you about your plans after college.

I get it, they're excited and curious about how I'm going to spend the rest of my life, but sometimes it can be a little overbearing. I don't graduate until December, but I'm already so sick of hearing these 14 things, as I'm sure everyone who graduates in the spring is, too. But, we need to remember that they're only asking these things because they love and care about us and only want what's best.

1. "Do you have any perspective jobs?"

No, I don't...I haven't even thought about a big kid job.

2. "What are your plans after graduation?"

This one usually gets the same answer because at least 10 people have asked me already, and I usually say that I'm going to stay at my current job until I find one in my field, because, you know...gotta start paying off those lovely student loans.

3. "Do you have an updated resume?"

Yes...and it's actually quite crowded with unnecessary information, I should probably get that fixed before graduation.

4. "Do you have an online portfolio?"

Of course I do! (it's a work in progress...shh).

5. "You must be excited to be done!"

Excited is an understatement.

6. "Are you ready to graduate?"

What kind of question is that?

7. "Are you going to relocate?"

That all depends on what jobs are out there.

8. "Do you still live at home?"

Of course I do, I can't afford to move out, silly goose.

9. "Are you going to miss the college life?"

I'm not going to miss being sleep deprived, but I am going to miss the friends I made and the experiences I had.

10. "Don't forget to Network!"

Pshhh, that's what LinkedIn and my professors are for.

11. "Are you going to graduate school?"

I don't even want to think about that right now.

12. "How much money will you be making?"

I'll know as soon as I find a job.

13. "Make yourself look professional on social media."

You mean employers aren't going to want to know about my undying love for All Time Low?

14. "Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?"

Hopefully not sleep deprived.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
