Nineteen & Married

A godsent man is the man for me.

I've been hit.

Completely swept off my feet.

His name was Peace.

I was transported, transformed, I was stripped to my most pure and organic form.

When I married him he showed me all that I had. He took me dancing within my soul…he showed me that even with all my broken pieces I still was whole.

What a gift to be alive, to breathe this air for free each day when our Creator could charge us a daily fee.

Ever since I first met you I've prayed for your presence in my life.

I've prayed for your patience with me while I continue to make mistakes and detours while I travel along this yellow brick road.

I talk to my Father about you all the time, I tell him that you would make my life complete if you could always walk beside me.

You come and you go, but you tell me that when it gets really tough.... I must love when it's impossible, forgive when it seems absurd, try when there is no reason to, and I must let love be the source of all my actions and words.

He proclaims that my Father has already gifted me with heart, brains, courage and determination, I don't need a wizard my strength comes from no earthly creation.

"If you seek your Heavenly Father, I will never leave." This was the final promise he made to me.

An Appreciation Letter To My Boyfriend

I don't think I say it enough...

To My Loving Boyfriend,

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Thank you for being supportive with everything that I want to do. Instead of trying to convince me 'no', you're encouraging me with a 'yes' or 'you got it'. Having you as my number one cheerleader is such a blessing, because I know I'll always have someone rooting for me. And you know that as much as you're cheering for me, I'm cheering for you right back. Having such immense support for one another is so important in any relationship, and I'm so lucky to have that kind of love and attention coming from you everyday.

I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate you more than words can write. I could probably talk for hours about how much I love you and how obsessed I am with you, but that's a little too much to put into an approximately 500 word piece. More importantly than telling you, I hope I'm able to show you everyday through my actions how much of a positive impact you have on my life. I'm certainly not the same person I was when we first started talking over two years ago, but I'm definitely a better person today than then, with a big thanks to you for that. You've helped me grow so much and I know you'll help me to improve for the better even more in the future.

I can't wait to see where life's adventures take us next. The only thing I know is that I definitely want to enjoy those adventures with you by my side. I promise to keep enjoying all of the little things that make every day with you so amazing. Thank you for the thousandth for everything that you do for me, because I don't know where I would be - or who I would be - had it not been you by my side all this time. Thank you for being my best friend, my secret keeper, and my confidante. And if I don't say it enough, always know I love you and everything that you do.

With So Much Love,

Your Very Appreciative Girlfriend

Love Is Tricky, But It Is Still Possible

Take the steps and time, if it truly lasts you will have forever.

Love is a concept that you love or hate because it involves having a partner(s) to care for and to nurture. Love is not about lust, the rush, and how fast something can happen; it is about commitment, patience, and the journey to build a permanent connection.

Most relationships fumble like a football because people focus on the wrong things than building the connection; the connection is the foundation of any relationship. As simple as the foundation sounds it is a sophisticated foundation consisted of trust, commitment, communication, time, and the desire to be together.

Even with the connection established, it is the matter of keeping the relationship because as time goes, the bond starts to wear out. However, strong relationships keep the link by going on adventures, big or small to continue to keep the relationship healthy. A healthy relationship takes things slowly and allows themselves to take in the beauty that the connection has formed between them.

Love has challenges, filled with distance, unsupportive people, and busy schedules. Love is about preserving through the obstacles to be together and laughing at everyone who said that it was not possible to be together. Love is essential, not only in the romantic aspect but in the perspective of building with one another and helping each other thrive.

Love brings the best in people because it brings the soft and caring side knowing that someone cares for them and that this thing is real (most of the time), and that someone truly cares for them. I know it did for me when I met my boyfriend, I got softer and more caring in general because of him and I'm glad I have changed for the good.

The main goal in love is to have a happy beginning, not a happy ending. Happy beginnings start the adventures together, and I hope that is possible for everyone.
