So ICYMI, Miss Teen USA 2016 crowned Miss Texas Teen Karlie Hay their winner at the Venetian Resort & Casino in Las Vegas Saturday night. Now if it's one thing that most should know, chances are that people begin to do their research to find out who exactly the newly-crowned 18 year-old is. By Sunday morning, a screenshot was floating around containing a string of tweets from the newly crowned teen's personal Twitter account from a few years back. The tweets contain various uses of the n-word, and more below:

Although there is no official confirmation on whether or not the tweets are actually hers [even though it's obvious], Twitter users are having a field day with them, and her all over the social media site. Among the outraged includes former Miss Teen USA, Kamie Crawford, who took to her own Twitter to address the matter.

So far there has been no immediate word from the pageant, who was also criticized for their lack of diversity in their Top Five picks in this year's competition. Karlie Hay has also yet to address the tweets and question, and/or issue a public apology.
