There are a lot of ways that you can spend your summer days, and there are definitely some great ways you should spend your summer if you are in New York. Here are 27 things that you should do in New York City this summer.

1. Walk the High Line

2. See a free concert through Good Morning America or the Today Show

3. Get ice cream at Ample Hills Creamery

4. Visit Governors Island

5. Take a ride on the Roosevelt Island Tramway

6. See a rooftop movie through the Rooftop Cinema Club

7. Spend an afternoon relaxing in Central Park

8. Take a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge

9. Catch a matinee performance of a Broadway play

10. Visit the Bronx Zoo or Central Park Zoo

11. Ride the Cyclone and get a Nathan’s hotdog at Coney Island

12. Go on water slides set up in the city’s streets on Saturdays in August

13. Kayak around the city for free through the Manhattan Community Boathouse

14. Eat and drink at a rooftop restaurant

15. See a tennis match during the U.S. Open
