As the new semester approach us, it is time to get it started off right! Here are some tips that might help you!
1. Find a good study spot
And still with that place all semester, if that place works for you! If not, keep trying until you find somewhere that does work and you actually get your work done.
2. Study Groups
Whether you start one yourself or join one, this will help you study for an exam. Especially when all of you talk it out with one another. Plus, if someone does not understand something as clearly as someone else, then help is right there. I personally like study groups because I normally make a game out of the material.
3. Group Projects
Please get your work done when you are working with others and do not be "that person" that never does anything but takes credit for others work. You know exactly what I am talking about.
4. Slow and Steady
Keep on a regular schedule as much as you possibly can. I know we are college students and there are definitely assignments we all want to push off til the very last minute but it does hurt us in the long run. Don't let it pile up in every single class or you are going to be consuming a great amount of caffeine.
5. Identify when you need help
It is okay if you need help in a class. There is nothing wrong with that, that is the reason why we are taking that course in the first place. But, the moment you feel like you are getting behind is the moment when you need to seek help. Do not let yourself get so far behind that you might fail the course.
6. Redecorate
There is nothing that can give you a boost to your new semester like making changes to your environment. You are in your surroundings for a great deal of time and you are going to struggle with making changes if you are in a messy environment. So make a change and keep with that change!
7. Remember your health
It is very important to live a healthy lifestyle and you are not getting any younger. This is the year you are going to start to take your health more seriously. Maybe pay attention to your nutrition and make healthier food choices, work out 2-3 times a week, even if it for 30 minutes. And most importantly you need to get your beauty sleep. Sleep is so important.
8. Join a new club or sport
Go out of your comfort zone and do something different. You might be surprised about what you might find out about yourself. Or maybe even start a new organization on campus. It would look really good a resume. It shows leadership, organization, and business skills.
