With the NBA season starting, what can this Heat team aspire towards?
Though losing key pieces in Jae Crowder and Derrick Jones Jr. , this Miami Heat this is still very much in the title race and are still favorites to make it to the NBA finals.
They added key pieces in the off-season in Mo Harkless, Avery Bradley and 20th overall pick, Precious Achiuwa.
Mo Harkless was a solid piece for the Knicks last season. For the Heat, Harkless can fill in the desperate need at the four that Jae Crowder left behind.
Avery Bradley was another solid piece for the Los Angeles Lakers. He is projected to average about 13 points for the Heat.
Precious Achiuwa was an amazing draft steal for this Miami Heat team. From Nigeria, many saw Achiuwa as a high draft prospect. He averaged about 16 points in his college career
This is in addition to preseason surprises in KZ Okpala and Max Strus. During the second preseason against the Toronto Raptors, the duo scored 24 and 22 points respectively.
This came as a surprise as many did not expect them to flourish this greatly, especially Max Strus, who had seemingly come out of nowhere as a viable option and piece for this ambitious Miami Heat team
Bam Adebayo will continue to develop as he is expected to have another All-Star Caliber season. Some have even said that Bam Adebayo is the best big man in the league, at the very least a Top 3 Big Man, next to the likes of Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic.
This Miami Heat team is expected to be a third to fifth seed in the coming season next to teams like the Durant and Irving Brooklyn Nets and the Giannis led Milwaukee Bucks.
Some have said that many people are greatly underestimating the strength of this Miami Heat roster. And if last season is any indication, the Miami Heat organization and its fan base can expect another appearance in the NBA finals and maybe a championship .
