Man, it feels like I've heard a new song, every day for the past couple of weeks. At this point, it's safe to say that April is turning into a month to remember for music. Artists are dropping new projects, some are making their return from their brief hiatuses and last but not least, the annual Coachella Music Festival has begun in California and people are already talking about the star-studded event. I think it's fair to expect this to be one of the great years in terms of music and we're not even halfway through the year.

With that being said let's dive into today's hottest songs.

I think its fair to say that Cardi B essentially took over the music scene towards the end of 2017. She was cranking out hit after hit during the summer into the fall and fans couldn't get enough of the Bronx native. Her first hit "Bodak Yellow" absolutely dominated the airwaves and became something of an anthem. There was even a trending video online showing NY MTA riders having a good time while Cardi's song was being blasted throughout the subway.

With her rapid success, fans began to anticipate an album from the East Coast's hottest rapper. Earlier this month, Cardi B released her debut album, "Invasion Of Privacy." It's a great piece of work from Cardi and it has some surprise features, including Chance the Rapper, SZA, and Kehlani among others. Her album is more than a debut, but a reflection of the versatility Cardi has a rapper, and it shows us why people took little time to fall in love with "Bartier Cardi."

The Weeknd wasn't letting us breathe easy. He came out of nowhere with his new album, "My Dear Melancholy." His album was anticipated though no one knew exactly when the Starboy singer would bless us with new music. He gave fans what they wanted with his heartbreak lyrics and high pitched tones. A 6-track album was just right for his return to the main spotlight and it couldn't have come at a better time.

The Weeknd was selected as one of the headliners for this year's Coachella show and videos from the event showcased The Weeknd singing his heart out in his new music, giving fans the show of a lifetime. The Weeknd's voice is incomparable and so is his timing when it comes to this music life.

Shout out to Abel.

Could we even talk about music without mentioning Beyonce? She was arguably the most anticipated performer at this year's Coachella and the internet proved me right. When she hit the stage, she became the hottest trending topic on social media. Her performance was one for the culture. In the two hours of gracing the stage with her goddess-like presence, Queen Bey reminded us why she sits atop the throne.

She had everything in her performance, from a Destiny's Child reunion, all the way to a throwback performance with her husband Jay-Z. Hell, Solange even came and out and performed with her sister. There was also the unforgettable Drumline-like performance that took us back to the yards of University. It took one performance for Beyonce to be back in the front of our minds, at the biggest music festival of the year.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
