There's no better time than Christmastime in my mind, and I think that means that it's never too early to start getting into that Christmas cheer. So, here are 10 reasons why you should never be afraid to get into beautiful CHRISTMAS SPIRIT (*cue the Jingle Bell Rock*).
1. Christmas movies are the best movies.
Giphy"Elf," "A Christmas Story," literally any movie on Hallmark — they're all my favorite. They're also a wonderful reason to get into that Christmas spirit a little earlier than the average Joe. So give me a blanket and some hot cocoa, and pop in a Christmas movie!
2. Christmas music is (also) the best music.
GiphyDid I mention the "Jingle Bell Rock"? Maybe some good old fashioned MARIAH CAREY because all I want for Christmas is some HOLIDAY CHEER!
3. There's nothing quite light bright Christmas lights.
GiphyChristmas lights are my favorite. I repeat, CHRISTMAS LIGHTS ARE MY FAVORITE. So, I see nothing wrong with throwing some string lights over those turkey decorations.
4. You get to decorate a beautiful TREE!!!
GiphyI LOVE CHRISTMAS TREES! There is nothing quite like putting up all those ornaments and lights onto a beautiful tree, and no better time than right around Halloween to do so, I am sure of it.
5. You can finally go HOME (and get a break from school).
GiphyI always need a break. SO, getting into the Christmas spirit is the perfect reason to start counting down the days to Christmas break (the other most wonderful time of the year).
7. Did I mention that you get to decorate a tree?
GiphyYes, yes I did, BUT that's just because decorating a tree makes me oh so happy, and is the perfect reason to get into the jolly good Christmas spirit, and get HAPPY, HAPPY, HOLIDAY HAPPY.
8. It makes everything 100 times HAPPIER!
GiphySee the list item above to understand more on why getting into the Christmas spirit early makes you oh so very happy. There's just something about all of that holiday cheer that can really help a college guy or gal get through the rest of the semester.
9. It means we're one step closer to SNOW!
GiphyI ADORE SNOW. I know some places get tons of snow as soon as fall rolls around, BUT something about Christmas time itself really makes for the perfect backdrops for some nice fluffy snowfall.
10. There's no better time like the day after Halloween (or the day before)!
Giphy"Bob's Burger's" is my favorite show for a reason, and that's because they know how to do holidays. OK, so that's not actually the reason, BUT IT'S TRUE. There's no better time than the day after Halloween to start putting up Christmas decorations.
Who says you can't have a Thanksgiving feast with a bright and sparkly Christmas tree in the background? Or maybe a few Christmas bops? I say, put up that tree and turn on some jingle bells because it is never too early to get into the Christmas spirit.
