Despite desirable super powers such as rewinding or stopping time, time never stops and with time comes change. Change in education, environment, and the people you surround yourself with are just a few things that occur when time keeps ticking away.
To say the least, change is inevitable and especially when transitioning from high school to college. Although it may be one of the biggest transitions you will face at a young age, it is manageable and definitely has its perks, but it is always important to remember where you come from.
Although the transition from high school to college involves leaving your best friends behind, it also opens a door that leads you to others whom make you wonder how you have lived life so far without them.
Although you will meet some of the best people in college, those best friends from high school become even more meaningful when you are no longer encountering them on a daily basis. A text, phone call, or a FaceTime away, be sure to keep in touch with those from your childhood. Whenever you need a taste of home you can be sure that they will provide it for you simply through a conversation. Or whenever you need a laugh you can be sure that they will provide you with an old memory that will having you laughing uncontrollably. Just be sure, no matter where life takes you, that you remember those who allowed your childhood to be memorable. You may be separated by location and even in different states, but they will always be there for you. Childhood friends make the best of friends and never forget that.
