In 2017, it is safe to say that anything and everything that you wish for can be reached within your fingertips. There are dating apps, food delivery apps, online banking apps, and even apps that allow employers to interview someone through a live stream, rather than face to face.

Although this is convenient in most situation, the consequences of instant response time that is standard for web apps is yet to be seen. Here are all the things you can accomplish on the internet, without ever leaving your home.

Food/Grocery Deliveries

Safeway supermarkets offer groceries that can be delivered online, straight to your doorstep. This ensures that you never have to stand in a long line at the grocery store, or go through an overcrowded supermarket again.

Also, most fast food restaurants, such as Dominos or Jimmy Johns, offer online ordering straight to your home. This means that you never have to wait in a long line at a crowded grocery store, or at a noisy restaurant ever again.

Paying bills online/online banking

Anyone who owns a bank account likely has access to online banking. Either through a mobile app, or a laptop, transferring funds, making deposits and withdraws are at the touch of one's fingertips.

There is also apps to pay bills online, including bills that keep the electricity on. This gives everyone the ability to keep their lights on, and keep an eye on their money, without ever stepping outside their home to mail a bill or go to an ATM.

Applying for jobs/Being interviewed

Nowadays, most job applications and resumes can be downloaded and submitted online. Many jobs also offer virtual interviews through various web streaming services.

This allows one to never be late to a job interview and never have to worry about leaving home (unless, of course, you get the job).

Any type of shopping

With most retail stores, it easy to ship any items from clothing to diapers to one's front door. Sites such as E-bay and Craigslist also sell anything from electronics to cars.

This allows you to never have to go to the AT&T store to get a new phone charger or get swindled by a car salesman ever again (although if you're not planning on leaving your home often a new car may not be a priority, unless you aced that virtual interview).

School/Purchasing textbooks

There are many colleges that offer accredited online courses for Bachelor and Masters degrees, which allows anyone who needs a flexible school schedule in order to succeed.

Granted, the tuition for online schools can be slightly higher than traditional university courses, but it might be worth it for one who wishes to never set foot on a college campus ever again.

Also, many sites that sell textbooks allow you to rent or purchase textbooks at decent prices. This makes it all the much easier to avoid the campus bookstore, if you are still attending a traditional four-year university.

Socialize and dating apps (any type of social media)

Thanks to social media, there is many ways to communicate with other human beings from all over the world.

This makes it all the much easier to never fulfill the requirement to leave your home in order to socialize. There are also multiple dating apps that ensure you never have to go to a bar in order to follow through on a blind date.
