As my fellow Netflix addicts know, we all come to a point where our favorite Netflix show has ended and we don't know what to watch next. Here are five shows that I have recently found to be worth my time.

1. "Private Practice"

If you liked "Grey's Anatomy," you will love this show. Addison Montgomery's life in California is more exciting than "Grey's Anatomy" let on. Join her on her experiences in California with her friends Naomi and Sam and her co-workers Violet, Cooper and Pete. Throughout the six seasons of "Private Practice," the practice struggles with different cases, money issues, love triangles and sleeping with each other.

2. "How I Met Your Mother"

Try a few episodes of this show. "How I Met Your Mother" is the ultimate story of five friends. They are the "friend goals" of young adults. Follow Ted on his journey filled with memories and experiences in Manhattan that lead to him eventually meeting his wife. The series is filled with nine seasons of relationships, "Slaps-givings" and incredible memories shared at MacLaren's Bar.

3. "Lost"

Want to get lost in a show? Try watching "Lost." After a group of strangers on an Oceanic Airlines flight crash onto a deserted island, the group must learn how to survive. They need to find food, shelter, fresh water and most importantly, a way off the island. They soon come to realize that the island is not deserted and that it is not a normal island. Jack and Kate are two of the many strangers who become close friends on the island. Throughout the six seasons of the show, you learn the backstories of the passengers and discover that it was no coincidence that they are all on the island.

4. "Gilmore Girls"

This show is not as recent as some of the others, but still amazing. In the seven seasons, you get to follow Lorelai and her daughter Lorelai (Rory) on their difficult life of living in a small town and never having enough coffee. With many trips to Luke's, tears shed, late night movies, boy drama and grandma always in the picture, this show will have you on the edge of your seat. Their subtle sarcasm, humor and wit really make for a good show.

5. "Switched at Birth"

Who knew being 'Switched at Birth' was even possible? Two girls find out that they were switched at birth and struggle to lead normal lives. The girls cope in different ways with what seems at first to be a traumatic, life-altering experience, wondering what their lives would be like if the switch never happened. In this show, currently in its fifth season, Daphne and Bay finish up their high school years, coming from completely different households, and make room for each other in their lives.

The next time you run out of shows to watch, consider watching a few episodes of one of these shows if you haven't already. I can guarantee that one of these shows will have you hooked!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
