It really is a great day and age to be a nerd. Our culture is currently experiencing a great rise in popularity of video games and anime, and recently, it is only getting better. Of course, Call of Duty, just announced the next game, coming October 12th, is Black Ops 4. Now, the most recent Call of Duty games have been slightly disappointing, I can't lie. But I have never seen gameplay trailers for Call of Duty and straight up wanted to play the game immediately.
That's how I felt after checking out the Black Ops 4 trailers. The multiplayer is getting revamped with a battle royal mode (which is all the rage currently) called Blackout. It looks very intriguing, to say the least, as players battle it out on the ground, in the air, and on the waters of the map that is made up of fan favorites from previous CoDs.
On top of that, they are revamping the movement completely in an effort to make it feel more smooth. Love it. I'm a little indifferent on the jetpack fueled the movement that happened in Black Ops 3 and Infinite Warfare, so I am keeping an open mind to whatever they put out.
Also, Nazi Zombies is making a triumphant return. They announced that there will be three Nazi Zombie maps available upon launch. The first trailer was based in the Roman Colosseum with our new main characters bashing Zombies with swords, and other weapons you would find in the Colosseum.
The second map was literally based on the Titanic! I don't know about you, but I would love to slaughter zombies on the Titanic. It would be really epic if the Titanic was sinking while we were trying to fend off the hoards of zombies closing in around us. I'm so excited that I might actually pre-order it, which by the way, gives you access to the private beta to test the game out before launch!
Speaking of Nerd stuff, I saw John Boyega tweet about how he needed that new Attack On Titan to drop already, and after watching the season three trailer and seeing that the release date is July 22nd, I feel the same way. If anyone knows of any possible way to time travel, take my money, I need that season three like Spongebob needs water. SANDY!! I NEED IT!!
But seriously, as a Manga reader and longtime fan of the series, I absolutely can not wait to see it animated. Attack On Titan has long been very aesthetically pleasing since the first episode the anime premiered, and to see it done so well just makes my heart happy.
I won't give any spoilers to the anime-only watchers, but let me just say that I'm excited about this season because Levi will be headlining the season in terms of screen time. Everyone knows he is an absolute badass, and we are going to see exactly why in the upcoming season. July 22nd can't come fast enough.
