Do you know someone who is negative all the time? Is it a co-worker, a friend, a relative, or do you even catch yourself occasionally being negative?
Think about it: being negative won't help you in the long run. In most situations, being negative won't help — unless you are in debate class and you’re the opposing side or a lawyer who wants to do a good job representing a client.
What should we do if we always find ourselves taking the negative paths of life?
A coping tip might be to stop; if you are in a situation, look or think about the brighter outcome. Another coping skill is to YouTube a motivational speaker that talks about having a negative attitude and how to change it. This is the best, because everything can be found on YouTube. Or if you're not much of a listener, there can be different books to read from your local library or bookstore.
Depending on what the situation is, if it's not nice, try writing a letter about the situation, so that way it is out of your head; once you're done writing, rip up the letter and throw it away, or in some cases, like I have seen in movies, write stuff down and then burn their thoughts with fire.
Ignoring a person who is negative is never a good solution because it will make the situation worse, and you might need that person for something later.
Each person is different and they have their own solutions for negative attitudes. And just like each person, we are all unique. Be careful what you say because you can’t take words back.
Negativity is contagious. Let’s be positive and spread positivity.
