1. "Blue Mountain State"
This show is raunchy, entertaining and more than borderline ridiculous. But it makes for one hell of a show on Netflix to watch when you're procrastinating or between classes. This show follows the life of Alex Moran, the second-string quarter back of the fictional, best division one college football team. It captures him and his teammates crazy shenanigans throughout his three years at BMS. The sheer amount of satirical, extreme things that Alex and his teammates do every episode will keep you laughing uncontrollably, especially us college kids.
2. "Grey's Anatomy"
One of the best television series that finds it's home for it's older seasons on Netflix. First of all Mcdreamy? and McSteamy? How much more could you possibly need from a television show? Also it has ten seasons with about a billion episodes per season, so you will be watching for what seems like ever. You can also judge someone based on how far they have gotten through the series, because with that many episodes you are pretty much in a committed relationship with Grey's.
3. "Scrubs"
To me "Scrubs" is a slightly less well "ratchet" version of "Blue Mountain State," but the football players have been replaced with highly educated doctors. But they still love humor and crazy scenarios! Also with 20-minute episodes and many seasons, Scrubs is an underrated series on Netflix.
4. "American Horror Story"
One of the more creepy series you will find on Netflix, but also one of the best! The plot lines in this show will always keep you guessing (while you're borderline creeped out all the time). Not to mention the amazing star studded cast that perfectly embodies every aspect of the characters in the show. Oh and did I mention Evan Peters?
5. "Friends"
"Friends" is one of the best, if not the best, comedies from the 90's that will forever be an American favorite. Netflix has also done us a huge favor by having the entire ten season series available to watch in chronological order. Because let's face it, the random episodes here and there on TNT, TBS, or any channel that plays reruns of the Friends series just isn't enough. They leave you wanting more and needing to know what is going on all the time (and fill the gaps between random episodes). Plus you can burn through a season in no time which makes you feel super accomplished and like a Netflix guru.
6. "Gossip Girl"
This show makes you want to work hard to become apart of the upper class. From the luxurious clothing, amazing apartments and entertaining plot line, this series will have you hooked from episode one. It's also really interesting to see how the two groups of characters from different parts of society mesh together at a private prep school (and later prestigious universities) in the heart of New York City.
7. "One Tree Hill"
Is the typical American teen drama, centered around two brothers on the basketball team, but plot twist: they're half brothers who hate each other. Oh and not to forget to mention that they seem to go for the same girls... A lot. It's a pretty entertaining show with constantly developing characters that will keep you hooked on OTH.
8. "Orange is the New Black"
A crime drama focused on the prisoners themselves, and what goes on behind closed doors of a women's correctional facility. This one kind of surprised me when it took off in such a quick manner. I personally have yet to watch enough episodes to comment it's level of binge-watch-ability, but it's definitely one for the favorites section on Netflix, once you've cried over finishing your last series.
And here is a picture of you after you have started and binge watched all of the episodes in the above series.
