My Secrets To The Perfect Summer Tan
Readers Digest

Throughout my life, I have never been tan. I was always pale with a hint of gold. Never was I actually "tan"! But, this summer I am the tannest I have ever been and I'm tanner than most people! After a lot of research and testing the waters, I found the secret to a perfect summer tan.

Baby Oil

You don't need to tan every single day but when you do, use baby oil. You could be sitting outside for five minutes a and you will go inside and see a MAJOR difference.

Manage "Tan Time"

Lay outside between 10 AM - 3 PM. This is when the sun is the highest in the sky and you will fry like bacon!!! The baby oil doesn't cause you any burn, you will turn a beautiful goldfish caramel color.

FLIP!

Please please flip! You do not want your front to be dark and your back to be Casper white. Flip that!

Water Water Water!

Laying near any kind of water is key! Water reflects sunlight like no tomorrow and sun is attracted to water. So, if you are near or on the water you will no doubt get color.

Skin Care

Exfoliating and Moisturizing is essential. When you come inside from your tan sesh, jump in the shower and use exfoliating scrub and lather in your favorite lotion when you get out. This makes your skin healthy and keeps your pigment. You do not want to look a funny color!

Take Breaks

When you are laying outside for 30 minutes you get bored, hot and sweaty and go inside and say I think I was out there long enough. If you take breaks to lay under an umbrella in the shade with a glass of water, you'll be set!

Now, go get that tan that you've been waiting for by the help of these tips!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
