Mental health is always so important to work on and improve. In a previous article, I talked about my current state of mental health and at that point, it wasn't where I wanted it to be.
Now that I have started back at school and have been able to get back into the swing of things, my mental state has definitely improved. I have been able to really focus on myself again. I have seen myself happier again and the light in me that was lost is back. My classes are fairly easy so it hasn't caused as much stress.
Now don't get me wrong, there have been some battles throughout the last month that I have had to overcome. One being work. My job has been making me very unhappy and hasn't been good for my mental health. However, I have been working through it and have been trying to find a new job that will make me happier. Another one being, still not going out as much as. I've been working hard to go out more and keep myself holed up all the time.
My relationships with my family and friends have improved which has made me a lot happier. I don't feel like I'm in a constant battle with myself as much. I've worked on not making myself feel as if I can't-do something or doubt myself. I am about to start counseling to help cope with my stress and my social anxiety. I've started setting smaller personal goals for myself that would be easy to achieve and take the baby steps I have to take.
It's hard to remember that isn't an overnight process and that it takes time. But the more steps I take, the more I can see myself improving in several ways.
