She's always there for me no matter what.

My parents got divorced when I was around 5 years old, so from the beginning, I always remember my grandma being there. Luckily enough, she lived next door to my dad so whenever I needed an escape, I could just run over to her house. She would help me with every single issue I had. She would make me forget everything that was wrong. We would watch movies and make crafts, just tons of fun stuff. And she still is always there for me! She is my go-to person whenever I need to talk. If my mom and I get in a fight or if I'm having issues, my grandma is the first person I can call. I can trust her with my life. I can tell her anything and she will never turn me away.

She gives me the best advice.

She helps me with every single problem I have. If there's an issue, she will work until it gets fixed! Grandmothers are incredible and I'm beyond blessed to have one that loves me so much! Whenever I was at her house, I would always learn simple lessons of life. She would show me how to do dishes and how to fold laundry. I remember one time I lost a toy somewhere in the house and she said,"Don't get upset, go back to where you were."

Whenever I lost something, I would get very angry and sad. But once she told me that, I would get up and calm down and search. And eventually, I always found whatever I was missing. And that is one piece I carry with me today. Even if it's just my keys, I remember her telling me, "Kaylee, calm down, go back to where you were." Other grandchildren don't even visit their grandparents, which I find so sad. There's so much to learn from them! Even if it's simply how to bake a cake. It's still time that can be so easily cherished.

Her love is like nothing else.

I don't know what I would do without my sweet grandmother. She is my best friend! I am so lucky to have such a close relationship with her. It's so amazing that over the years, we still remain so close. Most people don't get to have a grandmother so close. I used to live in Tallahassee, FL. And she lived there also.

She moved to Alabama, to be with her other grandchildren. Well, my parents decided to move up here as well. And my grandmother and I are about an hour and a half apart now. I still call her whenever I get the chance. I try and visit her as much as I can! Sometimes I don't even see her as my grandmother, I see her as a close friend. Our love is an undeniable bond that will never be broken!

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
