Day one: complete. The spring semester has begun. I may have only had one class today (no really, I only had one class), but I know that this semester will test me just as much as the last one. Before the worst hits, it's time for me to set goals for myself.
1. Stay ahead.
If there's any hope for the rest of these goals, I have to be able to stay on top of my work. No slacking!
2. Make time for social events.
Your brain needs to be able to focus on things other than school work. I suck markedly in this aspect, so I hope to find the time to really fit social events into my schedule.
3. Give yourself downtime.
Sometimes you just need to do nothing. It's okay to give yourself the space to do that, as long as it's not excessive. Whatever you do, don't start a new show on Netflix!!!
4. Listen to your body.
How can you ask your body to be efficient if you don't listen to what it's asking for? Let it rest, even if you didn't finish everything you hoped to. Nourish it with proper foods, not just your go-to dining hall meal.
5. Keep yourself physically active.
The gym is free, the spring is coming up (so there's no excuse for not working out outdoors), and it's such a great way to relieve your body of tenseness and stress. I really want to make sure I keep myself moving this semester.
6. Always try your best.
Even when it feels like your best isn't good enough. Do what you can. I have trouble believing this myself, but I aim to do all I can to ensure I don't overwork my body or my brain.
