My First Ohio State Basketball Game

I finally had another excuse to wear an Ohio State jersey on a Saturday.

On February 10th, at 4:25 p.m., my friends and I arrived at the Schottenstein Center to get some amazing seats. We even got there early enough to get Ohio State bucket hats! Which, let me tell you, made me even more excited for the game. Although the game didn't start for another two hours, it was so worth it.

My dad has been pushing me to go to an Ohio State game for a long time. Since the Buckeyes have been having some exciting games, I thought that this would be the perfect time to go. It actually was the first time it has been sold out all season! Although I am always wearing Ohio State gear, I finally had another excuse to wear a jersey on a Saturday.

Being at this game really made me sit back and appreciate how much love Ohio State fans have for their team. There was one player on the team that everyone wanted to go into the game; his name was Joey. He doesn't get a lot of play, but with the crowd screaming his name, he eventually got to go in. As someone who hasn't always been included in things, this was pretty special to see.

What I love about the Ohio State basketball team is the amount of teamwork there is. I liked how they weren't always trying to "show off" whenever one person had the ball. They actually made an effort to pass it to someone else, which shows a lot of their character.

There are so many things that are still on my bucket list to do at Ohio State. I sometimes think I won't be able to do some of them, but my friends make this so much easier. There is always someone that will want to try something different with you. You're never alone!

I know that this isn't the last basketball game I will go to. I'm so excited to see how far they go this year and to cheer along with all of my friends. I always feel like I'm at home whenever I hear the "O-H-I-O!" going around the stadium. I'm so lucky to have been a part of something so special. As always, go bucks.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
