My First Friendsgiving Experience

Ah, the holiday's how joyous, how delightful.

I'm overcome by lovely feelings and joyful intentions every time it rolls around.

And oh, how lovely it is to have rolled around.

The smell of turkey, peppermint, and pumpkin pie fills the air.

Your heart craves the mix between Christmas and Thanksgiving aesthetics as flannel and legging weather rolls on in.

What better way to satisfy the craving of the holiday season than with a friendsgiving?

Here are a few things I learned from my first friendsgiving!

Its more about the effort and atmosphere than how the actual food tastes. Because let's be honest, when you have seven teenage girls trying to cook the foods not gonna be great, and you're gonna buy a chicken and try to pass it off as a turkey.

Didn't I mention decorations? Decorations are a must.

And apparently there's no such thing as thanksgiving music, so yes, definitely Christmas music.

Many laughs and memories are expected to be shared.

Cute outfits are a thing of necessity, many, many pictures come along with that.

Don't forget, lots of burgendy.

So, if a friendsgiving event is avaiable to you, don't hesitate, go for it! I just hope your first friendsgiving is as marvelous as mine was.

xoxo lex

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
