1. "Can I Be Him" by James Arthur
"Can I Be Him" was an extremely emotional song to begin with, but this version took it to the next level. Being able to hear his raw voice really emphasized how vulnerable this song is. I think he is such an emotionally raw artist and you can hear that within his lyrics. He longs to be the one that this person is singing about and I think that is such a relatable feeling.
2. "Beg" By Jack and Jack ft. Olivia O'Brien
I think an acoustic rap song is just really cool. I feel like it's not very common. Even though acoustic usually means slowing down, they kept the upbeat feel of the original version but with just a guitar. Olivia O'Brien in this just adds that extra amount of lightheartedness that completes the song.
3. "Freakin' Out On The Interstate" by Briston Maroney
This song is the song that you scream when you're in your head on a late-night drive. Without the original instruments, you can connect with this song on an even deeper level. The acoustic sound so airy that it does in fact feel like he's on an empty interstate.
4. "Dishes" by Lauv
He has a really soothing voice and with the lack of heavy instruments, you can really hear it in this song. His unique style of singing isn't based on sounding perfect, or unflawed, it's based on sounding genuine and real. Between his voice cracks and the lyrics and meaning of the song, you really feel what he's trying to convey.
5. "Like That" by GRACEY ft. Alexander23
I love both of their voices, so this song was a dream come true. It's a fun light-hearted song that remains upbeat even without the other instrumentals added.
