Sure, summer is all about being outside in the sun, going to the beach and going on crazy adventures every day. However, if you feel like kicking back this summer and watching Netflix, this is for you. Sometimes it's nice to enjoy summer break and catch up on the shows you missed while you were too busy studying all year or enjoy some new shows premiering this summer. Here are some shows you should be sure to check out this summer:
1. 'Orange is the New Black.'
If you haven't seen the first four seasons of this hit Netflix original series you need to get caught up before the season five premiere on Friday June 9. Season four left off with a major cliff hanger and you will catch yourself binge-watching this all hours of the day until you find out what happens.
2. 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.'
Seasons 1-3 are now streaming on Netflix. This catchy and witty comedy is a must see. You will find yourself laughing and easily watching this comedy.
3. 'The Fosters.'
If you haven't seen this Freeform drama you can catch up on all the episodes on Netflix. This drama touches on just about everything and redefines what family truly means. Season five premieres on Freeform on July 11.
4. 'The Bold Type.'
Another Freeform show to look out for this summer. The series premiere is on July 11 following the 'The Fosters' on Freeform. The series follows the lives of women working for a magazine.
5. 'Life of Kylie.'
The series premiere of 'Life of Kylie' is set to premiere on E! on Thursday July 6. This will be an interesting look into Kylie's life and your 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' fix.
6. 'Riverdale.'
If you missed the premiere of 'Riverdale' on the CW (like me) it is now streaming on Netflix. Don't let it being based on comics scare you away like it almost did me. This show is amazing and very easy to binge-watch.
7. 'The Keepers.'
If you loved 'Making of a Murder' on Netflix, this show is perfect for you to binge on Netflix this summer. The mystery will pull you in quickly.
8. 'Raven's House.'
Raven is back! If you missed the release of the official trailer you can watch it here. Also, fun fact you can catch up on 'That's So Raven' on the Disney Channel app before 'Raven's House' premieres on July 21.
9. 'Jane the Virgin.'
I know, the title may make you roll your eyes and doubt the show. However, this show is so amazing. If you keep missing it on TV all 3 seasons are now on Netflix. This show is the perfect mix of comedy and drama. A must see.
